Well guys most of the
railroaders who worked from Stockton to Portola (including Keddie) are
long retired , most of the guys who I have spoken to worked from Stockton
to Oroville back in 1981,,, and strangely don’t know or barely know of the
Keddie Murders , even some of the railroader names that I have read in the
old website, barely know of the murders ……. But ,I will keep my ear on the
rail and help when I can.

Last night I spoke to an
R.R. Engineer who was originally from Stockton who’s father was an
real-estate agent .. He said he recalled when the Western Pacific RailRoad
put “Camp Keddie “ up for sale in the 70s or 80s

David,
I talked to the owner of Keddies son (or thats what he told me) He
actuallt still lives in one of the cabins and watches over the place. He
was a very decent person and let me snoop around and take pictures. He
told me that a two couples were leasing Keddie with option to buy when the
Murders occured. in or around 1984 one of the couples got a divorce and
things wer not going so well so they tried to sell it to buy out there
lease.

Well Jessie, I heard that
one of the owners of Keddie at one time came from the Bay Area
And that
family also had a tragic event also …. I don’t know if it’s the same
family your talking about , but if the rumors are true it would make it
vary hard to solve this case…. If its true one unsolved murder case
followed a family to Keddie and over shadowed the Keddie murders and that
would make since on why the investigators had such a hard time…..
Hopelessly spinning their wheels getting no where …
Sometimes guys brag about where they have been or what they do... we need
to find out who's been talking where.... for the "box car killer" to be
talking about the murders at one point someone did talk ... I know of a
spot where I went to in 1998 where a creek goes under a rail yard
and I was
attracted to the spot because of stories of good fishing. ...
( because I
use to fish all of the time along the tracks because the tracks have
always been built near water because in the old days trains ran on steam )
I went down
their and felt vary un easy … just recently I found out one of the “Box
car killers “ victims was dumped their and I was told the “Box car killer
“ lived down their for sometime.
In rail
yards the Carmen drop sticks of chalk all the time or leave them on cross
over plat forms on cars … so you’ll spot some of the stuff in White and
sometimes in a black or green grease pin … the Carmen will mark things out
for Carmen down the line to work on … but are vary wasteful with their
chalk and grease pins and the railriders are quick to pick up on the
leftovers and draw anywhere they can…. Its not like they can just watch TV

My point is ……“A foolish
consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen
and philosophers and divines. With consistency a great soul has simply
nothing to do”
No really,
no point just an observation … LOL..

Well Craig this isn’t
about me , but if you wish to know where I dug that up at , then I will
tell you … I was a high school drop out , it just bored me to no end… so I
hung out at a small school of the Name of UOP … when I was 15 years old I
would skateboard the outside edge of the stadium or just hang out with the
older students … The older students in the first year or two would say
things like “……“A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds”
just to show me how educated they really are , did you ever notice they
would throw in big words any chance they could … well I guess they needed
to show that daddies money went to some good use … LOL
As far as grave digging goes , I will have to keep digging until I find
something I feel rings true to me or when I have felt you have “cowboy up”
and dug your spurs into law-enforcement (to get them to hear your small
voice )….. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.
