Craig and/or Valley -
Somewhere in these many posts, Craig mentioned that Marty & Bo's friends
were !?*holes, etc.
Can one of you answer the following:?
Approximately how old were these guys?
Who did they hang out with? (This question is especially important to me) I know it might be difficult to post real names, but any information you are comfortable putting out here would be welcome.
Did they live in the house where the drugs were taken? Were the drugs theirs? I am a little confused about this scenario because apparently Marty was married. I don't seem to remember a family living in that house, but a bunch of guys, actually.
What about Bo? Was he married also? From other posts, I think I understand that he was single (hence, the Marty-Sue-Bo thing).

From Josh's film I gathered that Marty lived in Keddie. I believe he lived close to the Sharp cabin. He met Bo in a VA mental hospital and Bo was staying with Marty and his family.
I don't mean to be judgemental, but what kind of mom lets a mental patient move into her home with her 2 children? No wonder her daughter moved to Oregon to get away. And what kind of mom sacrifices her daughter for a scary drug dealing man and his mental friend? Sorry, but I had to say that.

To the best of my
knowledge, Marty lived in Cabin 15, and Bo was staying with him. The drug
theft was in East Quincy, at a house near the Baptist church. That's about
nine miles east.
Were they renting the house and doing the dealing there? Unknown, but more likely than doing it at the resort.
Marty and Bo supposedly met at a VA clinic (mental?), which may or may not have been with the main hospital in Martinez. Marty supposedly did two tours, Bo, one tour. Bay Area connection again? When did either one of them first show up in Plumas County?
No record of birthplace or prior residences for either. Marty was born on April 11, 1949. That's right, it was a birthday party he never forgot. Bo's listed as being born in 1953. The two most prevalent places to find his surname are Metro New Orleans and Metro Boston.
Their alibis for the time haven't been made clear. How late were they at the bar? Mrs. Smartt indicated that she saw him? burning something at 2 am, but never said what it was. The deeper I look into that night and the timeline, the hinkier it gets.
Bo's whereabouts after they left the bar have never been stated, but Marty was seen. Question: If Marty was seen until about 4 pm the next day, who had Tina during that time? At what times after say, 2 am is it known that Tina was not in the playhouse? What about them ripped up boards? WHAT, exactly first made Doug Thomas consider Marty and Bo as suspects? Also, he seemed to say that they questioned them sufficiently to determine that they were NOT responsible. Reason for that determination?
Here's one for you. Within the last hour I queried the Florida Dept. of Corrections website. Using the accepted spelling of Bo's name, NO returns. Is he even in Florida, either way, in or out in the open?
Craig, if you're reading this, I will be doing the run again today. There is someone down there who told me a whopper about someone. I don't know if you know the story. But David, I do know the story you alluded to, and don't intend to make it public. It could pertain to your experiences, but we don't see it pertaining to the case.

Thanks everyone for your
answers to my questions. I'm sure someone who is still living in Quincy is
reading these posts. It would be very interesting to know who owned the
drug house during the month of April, 1981. It would be fairly simple to
figure out, if someone has time to go to the County Recorder's office and
trace the grant deeds back. Is anyone out there interested in doing this?
I will not be back in Plumas County until November at the earliest.
While I'm sure the house was rented, it couldn't hurt to know who owned it.
Valley - you pose some very interesting questions. Is anyone in touch with the Sheriff's Dept. If asked, would they answer the question as to why Marty and Bo were crossed off the suspect list?
I have to get that film. I guess I told everyone the book is no longer available. Additional information I have received is that it was pulled from publishing for legal reasons. Very disappointing. I don't know if any copies were ever sold. However, based on the Feather River Bulletin's article, its possible they have a copy. Maybe they would let a person read it if they didn't take it out of the office??!!

The Yellow house was owned
and lived in by Therman Black who was a decon at the church... The only
place I am aware to buy drugs...where from one of the little white cabins
to the north of the church...........

I personally am tired of
hearing stories about Craig. What does he remember about Johnny and Dana
other than they were "drunken druggies". If Dana had diabetes, is it wise
for him to be drinking? I realize teenage kids do stupid things, but give
him some credit. Maybe they weren't as stupid as Craig wants us to
believe. I, for one, know they were well liked kids at school. Not jocks,
but well liked non the less.

you...I'm just tired of this being the "Criag forum". I knew them too.
Just in a much different way than you. Please tell me something about
Johnny and Dana, something personal that you would be willing to share.
Something that says you REALLY knew them. You always say you will answer
questions, but then you choose to answer selectively.
On the old forum you made a comment towards my friend that lived in Keddie that I was supposed to be staying the night with, like you knew her and JB. If you know them email me privately, because she doesn't know you and neither does JB.
If you want me to believe you, give us something to believe...about Dana and Johnny...not you

Home..That hit home..I agree...Dana was a GOOD KID.....He used to hang
with my group at Round Table...We looked out for him since we were
older....I guess we did'nt do a great job...He used to look like he just
woke up....We used to talk about ol Dan Dorris from the HOME....As I
stated before dana drank some and so did we.....For the record Dana and
the Sharps WERE NOT druggies or drunks.......THEY WERE GOOD OL CANYON
